Lately, I’ve been fascinated by the newly iconic X Ring. Though it has nothing to do with X-Men or The X-Files, its fabulousness is totally out of this world. Whether you’re on your way to a black tie event or getting crazy at a music festival, the X Ring’s sleek and modern design is sure to be the perfect addition to your outfit.
While the price differences between fine jewelry and costume jewelry tend to be drastic, you can rock a shimmering X Ring no matter what your budget may be.
In my world, tightening your belt means going on a relaxing diet cleanse at a faraway spa and coming back 10 pounds lighter. But, in the real world where I currently reside, it means trying to do more with less which is often necessary, but never fun. In honor of the hardest time of the year to save money, I’ve put together two amazing holiday ensembles complete with accessories for those upcoming holiday parties.
2. Sabine Black Deco Ring: Make an affordable statement with this fabulous black and gold cocktail ring.
3. Nine West Gold Peep Toe Pumps: These statement shoes will go perfect with your statement ring. It’s like having sparkling Christmas ornaments on your feet.
5. Flocked White Spruce Slim Artificial Christmas Tree: It’s always a good time to decorate A Christmas tree! I used to be against fake trees, but I’ve come to realize that they can be just as glamourous.
1. Dorothy Perkins Aubergine Ottoman Flare Dress: Like I said before, Dorothy Perkins has some of the most amazing affordable holiday dresses this year. Love the flattering cut of this burgundy dress with its festive color.
2. Nordstrom Sheer Knee High Stockings: Since this dress is rather conservative, I added some knee high stockings to keep you on the naughty list.
3. ASOS Curb Chain Triangle Necklace: This unique necklace design goes perfect with the dress. It’s bound to turn heads and result in compliments.
4. BaubleBar Gold Arrow Ring: Gold always goes perfect with burgundy making this the perfect ring for this holiday outfit.
Personalization is the key to uniqueness. Though everyone has their signature style, sometimes getting key pieces in your wardrobe monogrammed can add an extra level of personalization and character. Being distinguished is all part of being a socialite so it’s up to you to find new ways to constantly distinguish yourself. Monogrammed items also make great gifts that are sure to make anyone feel important. Here are some of my favorite customizable items:
2. BaubleBar Twitter-Plate Necklace: As a digital diva, this is by far my favorite item in this group. It’s a great twist on the classic name-plate for the social media socialite. Allow up to five weeks for delivery.
3. RUGBY Make Your Own Striped Dress: RUGBY by Ralph Lauren is by far one of the preppiest brands around. So it’s no wonder I’m a fan of their Ivy League status styles. You can customize this classic country club look with a selection of patches and monograms on the chest and back. Another must-have for the Greenwich Girl in every Park Ave. Princess.
6. Christie Martin Jewelry Three Discs: This incredibly customizable piece is said to be a favorite of celebrities such as Cameron Diaz, Beyonce, and Mariah Carey. I think it’s cute when people put the names and birthdays of their kids on these.
Brights and neons have been everywhere lately. Standout colors such as yellow and orange that have been traditionally hard to wear are especially hot right now. The trick to wearing these colors without looking crazy is to embrace and own the color. No matter how bright and bold it is, never let it wear you. At the same time, don’t be afraid to wear brights upon brights. Lastly, accessorize with both neons and understated colors.
1. Solar Studs: Great simple yellow and black studs.
As March 17th approaches, it’s time to start seeing green and stocking up on festive St. Patrick’s Day spirits a.k.a. beer. But, what are you going to wear as you celebrate your Irish heritage or lack there of? According to Irish folklore, wearing green is the only thing that will make your invisible to leprechauns. So green is a must. Here are some fab St. Paddy’s Day outfits put together by my Irish side. I am a Sullivan after all.
