Feeling Foxy

Though I don’t believe in fox hunts or ever wearing actual fur, I’m kind of loving all of the fox motifs I’ve been seeing in fashion lately.  It all started with British designers such as Burberry and Alice Temperley adding foxes into their designs and recently it seems to have trickled over into the showrooms of American designers such as Tory Burch.  No matter who is designing your foxy wears, there’s nothing like a little fox print to have you feeling sly and distinctive.  Here are some of my favorite foxy fashions:

1.  Tory Burch Fox Stud Double Wrap Bracelet:  Wrap bracelets are always adorable, especially when stacked with a statement gold watch.  Stacked jewelry is all the rage right now and a great way to dress up a casual outfit.

2.  Meredith Leigh 14k Gold-Plated Multistone Fox Ring:  I love a good cocktail ring just about as much as I love a good cocktail.  This jeweled fox ring shows tons of attention to detail with the blue eyes and bushy tail.

3.  Burberry Burnished Gold-Tone Fox Bracelet:  This bracelet would be a great addition to the modern classic little black dress and statement necklace combination.

4.  Dorothy Perkins Oatmeal Fox Jumper:  Though this does kind of remind me of something Rachel Berry from Glee would have worn during her high school years, I kind of like it and if a diva like her can pull it off, than so can I.

5.  C. Wonder Fox Stud Earrings:  C. Wonder has by far the best accessories on the market.  If you’re looking for holiday stocking stuffers, this is the place to go.  Like everything else in the store, I want these earrings.

6.  Orla Kiely The Fox of Life Bag:  The neutral colors and subtile fox print of these bag make it wearable with a number of different outfits.

Affordable Holiday Ensembles

In my world, tightening your belt means going on a relaxing diet cleanse at a faraway spa and coming back 10 pounds lighter. But, in the real world where I currently reside, it means trying to do more with less which is often necessary, but never fun. In honor of the hardest time of the year to save money, I’ve put together two amazing holiday ensembles complete with accessories for those upcoming holiday parties.

1.  Dorothy Perkins Black Embellished Shift Dress:  This dress only looks expensive.  Dorothy Perkins has an amazing selection of affordable holiday dresses.

2.  Sabine Black Deco Ring: Make an affordable statement with this fabulous black and gold cocktail ring.

3.  Nine West Gold Peep Toe Pumps: These statement shoes will go perfect with your statement ring.  It’s like having sparkling Christmas ornaments on your feet.

4.  Betsey Johnson Pearl Bow Studs:  These classy studs remind me of the bows on Christmas gifts.

5.  Flocked White Spruce Slim Artificial Christmas Tree: It’s always a good time to decorate A Christmas tree!  I used to be against fake trees, but I’ve come to realize that they can be just as glamourous.

1.  Dorothy Perkins Aubergine Ottoman Flare Dress: Like I said before, Dorothy Perkins has some of the most amazing affordable holiday dresses this year.  Love the flattering cut of this burgundy dress with its festive color.

2.  Nordstrom Sheer Knee High Stockings: Since this dress is rather conservative, I added some knee high stockings to keep you on the naughty list.

3.  ASOS Curb Chain Triangle Necklace: This unique necklace design goes perfect with the dress. It’s bound to turn heads and result in compliments.

4.  BaubleBar Gold Arrow Ring: Gold always goes perfect with burgundy making this the perfect ring for this holiday outfit.

5.  Mossimo Versie Platform Leopard Pump: This semi sexy shoe will add flare to this ensemble with the knee highs.

Seeing Unicorns

Fashion is all about fantasy.  So I have no problem admitting that I live in a fantasy world where everyday is an opulent affair.  I’m not crazy or anything.  It’s not like I don’t know about the real world.  I even pretend to live in it from time to time.  So when I began seeing unicorns everywhere during my late nights spent engaging in social media and online shopping, I realized just how wonderful my world of fantasy and fashion truly is.

Here are some of my unicorn findings:

1.  Ted Baker Strapless Unicorn Print Dress: Ted Baker is by far one of my favorite designers.  In a storybook way, this unicorn dress truly makes a statement.

2.  Unicorn Ring From Boticca: Who isn’t looking for a good cocktail ring these days?  I’m kind of digging this unicorn one.

3.  Twinkle Living Unicorn Reflection Pillow: Throw pillows are an easy way to add a pop of color to any room.  I like the bright orange in this one and of course the unicorns.  When it comes to sophisticated design, it’s good to add something youthful to the decor.

4.  Dorothy Perkins Pink Unicorn Jumper: Lately, I’ve been a huge fan of Dorothy Perkins’ chic, yet affordable designs.  She’s basically the British H&M.  Love this whimsical weekend sweater for late fall.

5.  ModCloth Prance Party Necklace: This is a great vintage-looking necklace for those who want to keep it unicorn.  ModCloth always has the funnest accessories.

6.  Alexander McQueen Unicorn Skull Flower Clutch: I always save the best for last.  You can never talk fantasy and fashion without the House of McQueen.  In my fantasy world, this unicorn clutch sits elegantly on a shelf in the walk-in closet of my penthouse apartment.

Black & Blue

I’ve always loved the combination of black and blue.  So I decided to put together an outfit based on my blog’s unique design.  Like all great outfits nowadays, this look is a great mixture of high and low designers.  I know I should really be modeling these outfits like the rest of the fashion blogger community, but in light of cash flow issues keeping me away from these breathtaking cobalt blue Jimmy Choo pumps, I’ll have to settle for the next best thing.  As a socialite on a budget, putting together outfits and pinning wanted items on Pinterest is very therapeutic for me.  I get almost as much satisfaction from pinning the stuff that I want as I do actually making purchases.  Here’s how to get this glam black and blue look:

1.  MARC Faceted Round Blue Ring: Silver jewelry goes perfectly with this look.  I wouldn’t even try to wear gold with this color scheme.  This cocktail ring is bound to sparkle.

2.  Holy Harlot Cobalt Rex Earrings: These unique featherlike earring were pretty much made to be worn with this outfit.

3.  Jimmy Choo Cosmic Suede Pump: Obsessed with these!!  I would also put these with a little black dress for the cobalt blue to really pop.  These Jimmy Choos are by far my favorite aspect of this look.

4.  Dorothy Perkins Black/Cobalt Slash Neck Dress: Lately, I’ve become a huge of of Dorothy Perkins’ affordable dress designs.

5.  Rimmel London HD Union Jack Eyeshadow: As a blue-eyed girl, I’m a huge fan of the smokey eye.  For those on a budget or who have spent too much on Jimmy Choos, Rimmel makes great moderately-price makeup.

6.  Rebecca Minkoff Romeo Satchel: Since so many of the accessories in this look are loud and colorful, I chose to go with a simple black bag.
