We’re halfway through New York Fashion Week (At least I think we are. It gets hard to keep track of time when your life is this crazy). So far I’ve had such a great time adventuring around the city with Kristi of Currentlycrushing.com and going to fab shows like GEORGINE and Herve Leger. Can’t wait to see what fab shows and parties are to come. Follow @Aspiringsocialite on Instagram for the latest from #NYFW!

Fashion Week has once again come and gone and I can’t believe that this is the last New York Fashion Week sponsored by Mercedes-Benz and the last time it will be at Lincoln Center. While I mourn these losses, I can’t wait to see the new venues and spring collections September has to bring. Fingers crossed for a triumphant return to Bryant Park.

Zang Toi FW15 Final Walk – Zang’s collections are always so elegant and this season’s collection was absolutely inspiring.
Another breathtaking look from Zang Toi FW15
Braids and sunglasses had a major presence on the runways this season. Here they are at Custo Barcelona.
Some cute looks (and braids) from Mara Hoffman FW15. I absolutely loved the hair and makeup in this show.
Big statement jackets made a huge impact on the runway this season. These are from Taoray Wang FW15.
For Fall 2013, Zang Toi gave another exquisite show at New York Fashion Week. I attended the Zang Toi SS13 runway show last season and was absolutely blown away. So you can imagine my excitement when I received an invite to view his FW13 collection live on the runway. This collection was inspired by Imperial Russia particularly the opulent looks of the Faberge Egg and Pererhof Palace. Toi’s designs are always so elegant. I adored all of the beautiful capes and trains in yet another breathtaking collections from the House of Toi. The hair was amazing as well!
Zang Toi’s SS13 collection was the epitome of elegance. It was so elegant that it went past black tie and into the realm of white tie. If I had to sum up the entire collection in one sentence, I’d describe it as modern class with Victorian undertones. I’m seeing many Red Carpets in store for Zang Toi’s designs this season. With a collection that exuded such class and beauty, it’s no wonder it got a standing ovation.
Classy pink gown
Love the pinned back hair! I’ve seen tons of black and white this season.
Zang Toi’s choice of colors which included black, white, and gorgeous pastels really enhanced the elegance.
