A Day at the Bryant Park Winter Village

Bryant Park

Before going home for the holidays, my Mom came up to New York and we spent the day shopping at the Winter Village in Bryant Park. It’s one of the best places in NYC to find some of the most unique gifts during the holidays all made by local artisans. I particularly love the jewelry. Many of the pieces are completely handmade and one of a kind. In between holiday shopping, my Mom and I also took selfies of our reflections in the Christmas ornaments on the larger than life Christmas tree.

Inkkas Kickstarter Collection Giveaway!

logo-1

I often find that some of the most beautiful and unique designs are made by eco and socially conscious brands. Inkkas, a custom-made brand of shoes handcrafted at a family-owned workshop in Lima, Peru is currently looking to raise funds to bring the company’s fall line to the U.S. market. In addition to bringing genuine South American shoes to the U.S., a portion of all proceeds are donated to local South American communities to help protect the Amazon rainforest and its’ native inhabitants. Since I love a good cause and original design, I’m giving away a pair of Inkkas from their 2013 collection. Here are the options:
