A Saturday in Soho

Soho

This past Saturday, I went on a socialite adventure in Soho with my friend Melissa of Missy On Madison.

We stopped by Just Cavalli to meet our favorite celebrity fashion blogger Bryanboy – He’s the greatest!

After hearing about Bryan’s adventures at the Met Gala, I spotted these fabulous sandals.

Then I feel in love with this breathtaking Marilyn Monroe painting by Hulbert Waldroup.

A Weekend Walk Around the Upper East Side

This past Saturday, after a blissful morning of sleeping in, I embarked on an afternoon of errands.  I decided to head across an uptown to the Upper East Side to consign a few designer items that I’m no longer using and soon realized that I couldn’t have picked a more glorious day to run such an errand.  Once I got off the subway and dropped my items off at Designer Resale, I began walking back toward the subway to go home.  However, once I began walking around New York City’s most elite neighborhood on perhaps the most beautiful fall day I’ve ever seen, I couldn’t fathom the thought of getting back on the subway and walked the 50 blocks home.  On my journey through the city, I cleared my thoughts and saw some beautiful things.

Channeling my inner Pippa Middleton by becoming my own personal paparazzi.  From what I hear, she’s moving to NYC.

It looks like an Upper East Side castle, but I think it’s a school

Highlights From the Weekend

Crossing the Hudson River for a fun day in Hoboken where the views of Manhattan are amazing and the drinks are sometimes cheaper.

Told you the view was amazing!  The lighting for photos was not ideal that day, but you get the idea.

Sangria and Silly Straws!

Getting back in touch with my spiritual side by stopping by my psychic after Sunday brunch on the Upper East Side.  In the socialite world, Sunday Funday can also be a spiritual time.

In the cards and in my aura, the psychic saw success in my own business and travel in my near future.  She also told me my soulmate would be a Gemini with the initial ‘J’ in either his first or last name.  I can’t say for sure if psychics are real, but it’s really fun to go once in a while.

Pictures from the Weekend

This Memorial Day weekend, I was quite the NYC homebody.  I ventured close to home to Central Park, Queens, and Brooklyn.  Here are some of the highlights from my 2012 Memorial Day weekend.

I went to Central Park and to lunch with Cocktail Chic and her adorable dog Roscoe.  It was Roscoe’s first trip to Central Park and I’ve never seen him so happy.  At lunch, he needed a whole seat for himself because he won’t sit on the floor.  It was a total Hilton sister moment.

A cloudy and humid day in Columbus Circle.  This explains why there are no actual pictures of me in this weekend photo series.  The intense humidity of the weekend was unflattering to my hair and skin.  It’s going to be one hot and humid summer.

My mom, sister, stepdad, and cousin came into town Sunday on a whim.  We celebrated our Venezuelan heritage at an Arepa Cafe in Queens.  I’d love to return to the beaches on Venezuela someday.  But, for now, I’ll have to stick to NYC’s Venezuelan restaurants.

An authentic Venezuelan brunch

This box that sits on a bookshelf in my cousin’s apartment in Queens, basically describes my life an Aspiring Socialite.  I guess this city is full of dreamers.  I need to get a dream box of my own.
