In the process of doing some much-needed spring cleaning, I went through my jewelry box and discovered a bunch of hidden treasures. The pearl necklace pictured above is from the Venezuelan island of Margarita where I’ve been many times with my family. It is also known as “La Isla de las Perlas” or the “Island of the Pearls” because of all the beautiful pearls they produce. I also found…

Tiffany & Co: For Everyday Wear

The time has come to introduce the world to my favorite necklace.  I may have never had breakfast at Tiffany’s like Audrey Hepburn, but I eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in this classic Frank Gehry Torque Pendant Necklace from Tiffany & Co.  It’s sleek design and short chain make it incredibly comfortable for everyday wear.  Plus, it goes with all of my outfits no matter how casual or dressy they may be.  I guess you can say it’s the little black dress of necklaces.

This modern silver design hasn’t left my neck since Christmas 2009 when my dad surprised my sister and me with matching torque necklaces.  It was quite a surprise because prior to finding my jewelry soulmate under the tree, I didn’t think my dad had even heard of Tiffany & Co.  But, apparently he really likes their customer service to the point where he knows more about their designers than I do.  My sister wears hers everyday too resulting in a special connection between us.  After all, when it comes to jewelry, it’s the story behind it that matters most.  Somehow I know that Holly Golightly and her cat would approve.
