So Excited for Target’s Spring Collaborations with Prabal Gurung & Kate Young!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard of Prabal Gurung’s upcoming spring collaboration with Target.  I’m absolutely drooling over this lookbook that really seems to capture the brightness and fun that every woman is looking for in spring fashion.  I love all of the floral prints and that most of the dresses can also be worn with tights or leggings for those colder days in early spring.  Aside from show stopping clothes, Prabal Gurung for Target also includes jewelry, shoes, bags, and accessories.  This collection of nearly 80 items priced at $19.99 to $199.99 is set to hit Target stores and Target.com on Feb. 10.

From daytime and casual evening looks to elegant red carpet ensembles, Target is also doing a spring collaboration with celebrity stylist, Kate Young.  This may be Kate’s first time designing a collection, but with a resume that includes styling the first cover of Teen Vogue with Anna Wintour and putting together red carpet looks worn by stars such as Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weisz, I’m sure she’ll have no problem designing a top-notch collection for one of the world’s biggest retailers.  Kate Young for Target is set to hit stores and the website on April 14th with prices ranging from $14.99 to $89.99.

Jason Wu for Target is Almost Here!

Fingers crossed that the Target website doesn’t crash again as it did with their Missoni Collaboration because Jason Wu for Target is set to launch just before Fashion Week on Feb. 5th. I have to say that I’m already fully obsessed with this collection full of his signature clean lines and smart details. I can’t wait to stock up on Jason Wu for Target spring bags and dresses because they are utterly amazing.

Not only do I want all the clothes, but I really want the mischievous black cat that has appeared throughout the campaign. I think there’s a shirt with the cat on it that will look lovely on a casual spring day with a black or red cardigan.  Mischief and spring fashion are in the air and it’s almost time for Aspiring Socialites everywhere to wait intently in front of Targets across the country to obtain the magic of Jason Wu.  No detail should be overlooked when every piece is a must-have.  Let the mischief in the details unfold as yet another aspiring-friendly Target designer line is born.

No More Missoni for Target Until Sept. 13th

NOOOOOOO!!! Today I stopped by the Missoni for Target pop-up store on 42nd St. and 6th Ave. that opened yesterday morning at 9 a.m. only to find that the entire inventory had long been SOLD OUT. Apparently 300 people completely ransacked the place within an hour of its opening leaving us with no affordable Missoni items until they are available online beginning Sept. 13th. The store was originally scheduled to be open until Sept. 10th.

As I turned around sadly, a nice worker there who discribed yesterday’s experience as “the scariest thing they had ever seen” gave me a complimentary Missoni for Target bag to take with me as a consolation prize. I’m so upset. I’ve been looking forward to this pop-up store for weeks now. I will be placing my order on the Target website as soon as it goes live. This collection is too good to pass up. I predict that it will also sell out quickly in stores as well as online so move fast if you like stripes.

Missoni For Target Look Book Released!

If it’s wrong for socialites to like Target, I don’t want to be right. Their clothes are actually high quality and I have gotten some of my best (and cheapest) bathing suits there. So when Target releases a new designer line, it is always a happy day for me.  What can I say?  Sometimes all a girl needs is something cheap-chic.  Pictures from the much anticipated Missoni For Target line have finally hit the web. This look book release came after Margherita Maccapani Missoni herself sent some sneak peaks over to Marina from the blog all the way here. According to The Budget Babe, Marina has been hired to model Target’s Missoni line.

Aside from the incredibly brightly colored textile knits that have become a signature of this line, Missoni for Target offers everything from children’s clothes, to luggage, dishes, menswear, and tons of useful accessories.  It’s certainly beginning to look a lot like fall!

They really thought of everything. You can even get a bike to go with your outfit.

Let’s fly to Paris!
