Swimwear by State Infographic

According to this splash of survey,  halter, sporty and retro-inspired styles are the most popular. Surprisingly, over 70% of states favor the one piece. Though I live in New York, I think I’m more of a California or Maine girl when it comes to swimwear. What awesome swimsuit style are you rocking this summer?

Party Perfection: What to Wear on NYE

The Mayans were wrong.  So it’s time to start thinking about how you can make a statement on New Year’s Eve.  This year, I will be braving the crowds and craziness by celebrating the New Year in Times Square.  Since millions will be watching and Ryan Seacrest will be there, I plan on putting my best foot forward for 2013 by stepping out on the 31st in the hottest outfit and accessories all while leaving a surplus of money in my pocket for prosperity in the New Year.  To do this, I’ll be shopping for the perfect party dress, shoes, and clutch at T.J.Maxx and Marshalls for up to 60% less than department stores.  This way, I can look fabulous in the center of the universe on New Year’s Eve wearing my favorite trends and designer pieces (for less).  See you when the ball drops socialites!

Follow these tips when shopping for the perfect outfit to welcome 2013:

· Get glam! Accessories can make an outfit. T.J.Maxx has amazing, designer jewelry for unbelievable prices. Look for bold statement earrings and necklaces to spice up your look.

· Make sure you’re dressed to impress! Maximize your glow by throwing on a fabulous dress (or skirt) that sparkles and shines.

· Step out into the New Year with a pair of killer heels – infuse some personality and look for metallic, snakeskin, and embellished pumps to put some pep in your step.

· Don’t forget to stay warm! Throw on a chic leather jacket and luxurious scarf in a rich color to keep you looking party-ready even in the cold.

What We’re Wearing: A Fall 2012 Fashion Snapshot

Being a fashion blogger is all about not only keeping up with, but setting trends. Those who express their style with their own touch of uniqueness, are bound to be trendsetters.  After surveying women in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami, Marshalls and T.J. Maxx  reveal where women are shopping for new trends, how they’re wearing them, and the source of their fashion inspiration.

Exploring Neons for Fall at T.J.Maxx and Marshalls

Summer trends are staying bright this fall. When T.J.Maxx and Marshalls sent out fashion blogger, Karen Blanchard, of Where Did U Get That to capture the #1 trend taking over the city, she found that showstopping neon shades will be sticking around in full force this fall.  To celebrate neon for fall, T.J.Maxx and Marshalls sent me out to discover fabulous fall neons in their stores.  Here’s what I found:

Love these neon on black Vivienne Tam cardigans.  Neons always go best with dark colors, especially black and navy blue.  These are perfect to layer for fall.

Obsessed with these dark skinny Hudson Jeans taking on the neon trend with bright orange stripes down the sides.  They’d go great with flats or pumps.

Layer your fall neons with cardigans or blazers to make them pop.

Yellow isn’t just for summer.  As the leaves change color, use neon yellow accessories to brighten up your fall wardrobe.

Disclaimer: I was given two T.J. Maxx and Marshalls gift cards.

Loving Saucy Glossie in the T.J. Maxx Commercial!

The voice of real girls is letting us all know that bloggers, particularly fashion bloggers, can be stars too. Saucy Glossy a.k.a Lindsey Calla was one of the first fellow fashion bloggers that I followed on Twitter back when I first embarked on my socialite journey through the fashionable corners of the Internet. I love her ability to publish amazing looks everyday each one greater than the last. Fashion bloggers are so much more than just journalists, we’re Internet personalities who propel ourselves into the spotlight every chance we get. We may cover breaking news, but we rarely take a back seat to it. In the past decades, magazine covers were dominated by models, then actresses, then reality stars, and now the bloggers are moving in on the action.

I’m also a proud Maxxinista who never met a T.J. Maxx she didn’t love. There’s nothing I enjoy more after a busy day than weaving through the clothing, shoe department, and bag section filling up my cart with affordable designer treasures. Even if I had millions of dollars, I would still be a Maxxinista. Best of luck Lindsey in all your endeavors. You are so inspiring!
