Marni at H&M Collection in Stores March 8th

So excited to announce the impending launch of another spring 2012 designer line that those of us still aspiring can actually afford! The Marni at H&M Collection will be available in H&M stores everywhere tomorrow March 8th. What really stands out to me about this collection besides the prices is Marni’s impressive use of texture. The patterns are absolutely out of this world. They’re mosaic qualities are bright and ornate like the Alhambra in Spain.

It seems like the weather in New York is going to be pretty mild for next couple days. So should you be one of those people camping out overnight outside the store, you just may be in luck. The Hollywood elite may have already gotten to sample the collection, but now’s the time for your moment in the sun.

Lea Michele for Candie’s

So many spring lines so little time!  Today, Candie’s revealed that Glee‘s Lea Michele will be the official face of their spring 2012 campaign entitled “Hangin’ at Home.”  It will debut in March and feature Rachel Berry’s alter ego causing a stir in the kitchen, glamorously lounging by the pool and being playful in her bedroom.  As a top-notch performer, Lea Michele does an impeccable job modeling Candie’s affordable spring 2012 fashions available exclusively at Kohl’s department stores.

This may be my favorite Candie’s campaign/collection.  As a fellow singer, it’s no wonder that Lea’s favorite Candie’s alumna is Britney Spears.  I will absolutely be including some key Candie’s items in my Hampton’s/Central Park wardrobe for 2012.  In three words, I would describe this collection as colorful, bubblegum, and versatile.  Like Lea Michele herself, Candie’s spring 2012 just has so much personality.  Maybe I should learn to become a spokesperson?  It looks like fun and they probably let you keep the clothes.

MANGO’s Spring/Summer 2012 Preview

In order to preview MANGO’s 2012 spring line, I braved the potential of bumping into some scary Occupy Wall Street protesters on their “Day of Action” and headed downtown. Luckily, the protesters had moved on and I was free to take in some lovely spring clothes by MANGO made from some of the most luxurious materials. I really appreciated their use of soft of quality fabrics because I keep finding with a lot of the lines I’ve previewed that I love the design, but hate the fabric. Not so with this line.

This is known as the nautical oversized ex-boyfriend sweater. It gives you a look that says, “This is my ex-boyfriend’s sweater that I stole off his boat. Yes, my last boyfriend had a boat.”

Bling Bling with bugs!
