It’s Valentine’s Day and I’m so thankful for all the love I’m feeling. Last night my boyfriend surprised me with roses and champagne. I’m so happy to have him in my life and thankful for all the ways we make each other better people. On top of all the romance, I’m ecstatic to have the love of my family, friends and readers. Last week I had a little pre-Fashion Week fun when I previewed Betsey Johnson‘s Fall and Spring 2015 jewelry collections at Betsey’s Baubles & Bubbly Cocktail Party. It was there that I had the once in a lifetime experience of taking a selfie with Betsey Johnson herself and came to a whole new realization about accessories.
Among Betsey’s signature critters and perfectly mismatched earrings, I began to see accessories as not only just a way to compliment an outfit or call attention to your best features with a statement piece, but as a way to express your unique personality and bring out your inner child. Even if you have to dress conservatively for work or school your accessories can and should be a little crazy.
