My New Address is 666 Park Ave.

Being a socialite can be wicked fun, not to mention a magical experience. But, what happens when the socialites are witches? I intend to uncover the dark world of socialite sorcery by making 666 Park Ave. my next beachside read. This new novel by Gabriella Pierce, is said to be a pure evil mixture of Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries666 Park Ave. tells the story of Jane Boyle, a Paris-based architect who falls in love with a rich and handsome Upper East Sider named Malcolm Doran. When she moves to New York to start her fairy tale life with Malcolm, Jane is entrenched into the dark secrets that come with being a part of the esteemed Doran clan, a family with a supernatural hold on New York’s high society.

Those with deep pockets tend to have even deeper secrets. Jane’s newfound magical abilities challenge everything she ever knew about good and evil. Not only must she cope with the pressures of wealth and witchcraft, Jane must also struggle with those who intend to take them from her. Forget everything you knew about Park Ave. princesses because in this fairy tale, it seems that the riches may be going to the witches for a change. 666 Park Ave. is available on Amazon. If this novel turns into a TV show or movie, it would be an honor to make a cameo appearance. In the meantime, I may pay a visit to the actual 666 Park Ave. located between 67th and 68th St.

After Party Flats are Flat Out Amazing

The first rule of New York City is “Never go barefoot.”  But, after a long night out on the town in a city that glorifies both tall buildings and 6-inch heels, you are going to want to do the unthinkable and walk the streets of Manhattan with shoes in hand.  Like most rules here in the Big Apple, the barefoot rule was meant to be broken.  While you might have begun the evening looking like a princess in $700 Louboutin heels, the higher the heel the more likely you are to end the night barefoot as a pauper.

The invention of After Party Flats may just have saved me and millions of other stylish socialites from an incurable foot disease.  The concept is both simple and stylish making them a total socialite staple. All you do is fold up an adorable pair of ballet flats that coordinate with the night’s outfit and slip them in your bag.  When you can no longer handle the agony of your killer heels, pull the switch.  Just remember to find a safe place to store those fabulous Louboutins.  Your newly found comfort is bound to result in a much longer evening in the city that never sleeps.  So get yourself a pair of after party flats because even socialites can’t afford to sell their sole.

Ivy Club Inspiration

The entire point of an exclusive club is exclusivity. Exclusive clubs line the streets of Midtown bearing the description of a country club without the country.  In the city that never sleeps, there are three tiers of people, those who are members and frequent this elite scene filled with mahogany walls and 1960s charm, those who know the clubs exist, but have yet to catch a glimpse inside, and those who don’t even know they exist.  Days after moving to New York, I became a member of the second tier.  During my first week in NYC sleeping on various friends’ couches, I walked down Park Ave. past the Yale Club on a sizzling late August afternoon.  Seeing that most of my free time was devoted to searching for a job or an apartment (since I had neither,) I rarely had the time to explore the city’s elite venues.  But, on this day I did anyway. After strolling past Grand Central, I shortly ended up in front of the Yale Club of New York and stopped to take a look.  As I stared at the building dreaming of a glamorous future here in the Big Apple, a beautiful bride in a classic white bridal gown pulled up to the Yale Club in an understated black car and I thought, “I’m going to be her today.”

Help PETA & Lea Michele Put Horses Back in the Pasture

Horses in the carriage industry are treated badly and PETA wants to helpWhile walking the streets of my beloved city one evening, I spotted a billboard that captured my vision for a better world.  It was an angelic photo of my favorite Glee star, Lea Michele, fighting against the inhumane treatment of the animals and the horrors of the horse-drawn carriage industry.  Witnessing Lea Michele endorse PETA‘s latest campaign was music to my ears.  Inspired by this selfless action, I too urge people everywhere to boycott horse carriages in exchange for limos.

More attention needs to be brought to this ignored issue.  Horses do not belong in the confining traffic of NYC or in disgusting Midtown stables.  These beautiful animals belong somewhere out in the country on a socialite’s Long Island estate where they can roam free on green pastures.  It has always been my dream to make a difference by starring in my own PETA ad.  So I urge you to join PETA and Lea Michele in their cause to rid cities everywhere of this miserable and unnecessary industry.  You don’t have to be a Socialite or even an aspiring one; you just have to have a heart. For information on the issue and what you can do to make a difference visit NYCLASS.org or PETA.org.

Top 10 Best Places in New York to Enjoy a Starbucks

Starbucks is and always has been a socialite staple. On uneventful mornings that for socialites never begin before 11:30 a.m., your favorite cup of Starbucks coffee is the perfect accessory to carry on the same arm as an oversized designer handbag. For those of you who have read my bio, you already know that I go to Starbucks daily for a Grande Unsweetened Soy Iced Coffee. Like everything in the tabloids, coffee is a great source of controversy. As a friend to some and foe to others, nothing says attitude more than those candid shots of celebs in Us Weekly walking the streets of L.A. or New York with a Starbucks in hand. So here you have it the top 10 places in NYC to enjoy your favorite brew:

10.  In front of the Yale Club: When you are done shopping on 5th Ave, take some time to shop for eligible Ivy Leaguers as you enjoy a coffee. The Harvard and Penn clubs are only a block away.

9.  In the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria: I have always been a fan of the old world style of the guided age and the Waldorf has it.

8. Central Park: It’s cliche, but always fun.

7.  Bloomingdales: Enough said!

6.  The Met Steps: They may have eaten yogurt on the Met steps in Gossip Girl, but I prefer to drink a Starbucks.

5.  14th Street in Meatpacking: I enjoy drinking coffee in the presence of designers such as Alexander McQueen and Yigal Azrouel.

4.  Standing in line at Marquee: Not that I ever stand in line at a club, but if I did, I would totally sip a Grande Soy Iced Coffee as I waited.

3.  Driving in a BMW down Park Ave: It always helps to have the top down.

2.  Strolling the Streets of SoHo: I love going from shop to shop in SoHo sipping on my signature iced coffee.

1.  30+ Stories High: You can’t beat a brew with a view.  Heights aren’t just for heels and the city lights are always brighter from up above.
