For me, fashion is serious business. So I put together an ultra sophisticated fall look with some of my favorite pieces from Warby Parker and Express. Then I headed to Williamsburg in Brooklyn for some more Autumn-inspired elegance.
Most of you probably haven’t seen me in glasses before because I’m a part time glasses wearer. I need them to drive and to see things far away. But even if I didn’t need them I would still totally head over to Warby Parker and pick out a pair because their styles are all so cute and classic. The frames that fit me best were Oliver in Whiskey Tortoise. I always feel ultra chic and smart when I wear them.
In honor of the first semi-warm day of the year, I broke out my favorite Michael Kors skirt and Target button up and paired them with a pair of black stockings and a fab pair of ankle boots. When I came across a few ivy covered houses in Midtown, I new it was the perfect place to photograph this dressy casual look.
Wondering about the puppy? His name is Bennett (@pombennett) and he belongs to my friend Alex (sheisred.com) who took these pictures after a delicious Sunday brunch.
In New York City everyone always seems to be wearing black. Though this seemingly eternal trend transcends seasons, it’s most apparent in the winter. Personally, I love wearing black. Not only is it slimming, but it never fails to give you a classically dressy look that can be worn to almost any event or occasion. While it’s fun to play with color, black can take you from the office, to dinner and finally to drinks at the club without ever having to change. After all, what New Yorker has time to change?
