Happy Mother’s Day!

Mothers-Day

Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful Mother, Renee! Here we are on the beaches of her home country, Venezuela, enjoying some sunshine at our favorite beach club, Club Puerto Azul, back in 1987. I can’t get over how cute these photos are and how much I want to go back to Puerto Azul with my Mom and little sister. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers out there!

At My Mother’s House

I recently spent a few days at my Mom’s house in Wilmington, DE.  Though I’m happy to be back in New York, it was nice to spend a few days at what I like to call my “country home.”  My Mom’s personality really reverberates throughout the house.  So I sought out to capture it with a few of my favorite details.

Queen-Victoria

My Mom has always loved Queen Victoria. I’m even named after her.

Latin-American-Art

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but my Mom is from Caracas, Venezuela.  So her house is full of Latin American art.

Happy Mother’s Day Mom!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!  Throughout my life, people have come and gone, but the only thing that has remained constant is my mother, Renee.  Originally from Caracas, Venezuela (Yes, I’ve been to Venezuela and the beaches are awesome), my mom came to the United States to finish school and ended up staying.  I’m so grateful to have her in my life and for everything she’s taught me about love, culture, and respect.  One of our favorite socialite activities to do with my sister, Caroline, is shopping, followed by a long lunch, followed by even more shopping.  We also very much enjoy exotic travels.

Here we are playing on the swing on a sunny spring day much like this one at the home where I grew up in Wilmington, DE.  So much time has gone by and so much has changed in our lives since then, but the unconditional love of a mother is timeless like the works of Coco Chanel.  I love you Mom!  Thank you for always supporting my socialite dreams!
