Baltimore Love!

Baltimore Mural Street Art LOFT Lou & Grey

A few weeks ago (okay a month ago! I’m still getting caught up on blogging) I visited my sister in Baltimore. She moved there a couple years ago and loves it. I must say that I like Charm City a lot too. My sister’s neighborhood of Canton is filled with beautiful murals, art galleries and creative street art like the colorful milk carton lanterns (pictured below). Above I’m wearing my summer signature LOFT Lou & Grey Slinky Racerback Midi Dress. It’s really one of my favorite dresses from this summer. It’s so comfortable and stylish.

I’m a huge fan of Baltimore’s artsy side and unlike New York, the art for sale in the galleries is actually pretty affordable. The huge detailed murals and nearby Patterson Park make it a blogger’s and photographer’s paradise. I’m pretty excited to go back.

Mother’s Day Weekend Recap

Mother's Day

I’m originally from Wilmington, Delaware and went home for Mother’s Day weekend. Since my sister now lives in Baltimore, Saturday we spent the day with her in the Inner Harbor. While you may have seen lots of riots and chaos in the news lately, there’s a side of Baltimore that you didn’t see. I absolutely love strolling around Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and seeing all of the beautiful boats go by. It’s totally worth a visit, especially for the aquarium. Here I am (above and to the left) with my mom and sister in the Inner Harbor.

The next day, we treated Mom to a classic Mother’s Day brunch.

I hope your Mother’s Day was as wonderful as mine!

A Day in Baltimore

Baltimore

A few months ago, my little sister moved to Baltimore. So now, whenever I visit my hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, my Mom and I always take a trip down to Baltimore to see my sister and walk around the Inner Harbor. Though I’d been to the Baltimore Aquarium many times, I’d never really experienced the beauty of the Inner Harbor seaport until now. I’ve grown to love walking along the water discovering new restaurants and watching the boats go by. Since I was probably fourteen the last time I went to the aquarium, a trip to the National Aquarium in Baltimore is long overdue.

They say every cloud has a silver lining and on this day, that couldn’t have been more true. Not only did the clouds provide unique lighting for my mini fashion shoot, they also kept the weather cool and comfortable making it the perfect day to be out on the harbor.

What I’m wearing: White jeans by Kensie (similar), a tank top by Free People, black sandals from Express (similar) and a vintage Just Cavalli bag.
