Color Jeans Going Full Force
Posted in Aspiring Socialite by Vicky Sullivan | Tags: color jeans, denim, jeans, pants
It’s time you started investing in some solid tops because with the color jeans trend in full force, everyone is going to be looking at your bottom half. This trend of crazy color jeans was big in the fall and is going to get even bigger once the spring hits. I have an amazing pair of pink capris, but I intend on adding a green and purple pair of jeans to my wardrobe ASAP.
Though you can totally go the designer route, you don’t need to spend a lot of money to be a member of this club. I’ve seen some great color jeans in the $15 range at stores such as Forever 21, TJ Maxx, and Target. Just remember to keep the rest of your outfit simple using solid colors for your shoes, shirt, and accessories. Have a bright day!
Hudson Jeans & Double Cross Hudson Coolers at Denim Habit

There is nothing like designer jeans combined with a designer bag to make you feel like a true socialite. Tonight I attended the fabulous Denim+Drinks After Dark at Denim Habit on 14th St. in the Meatpacking District. Socialites are among the biggest advocates of designer jeans and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Speaking from experience, when it comes to denim, the designer aspect really makes a difference in the overall the fit and feel so it’s totally worth the investment. I was happy to have brightened up my Monday by celebrating Hudson Jeans with Hudson Coolers mixed with Double Cross Vodka, POM Pomegranate Juice, and lemonade. Pomegranate always makes for a great cocktail. I totally suggest you try this cocktail recipe. It’s just as fabulous as the jeans. Thanks Hudson!
Denim Divas Living the Dream

Everyone seems to be talking about and most importantly wearing denim even more than usual this season. Has the world become more casual or has denim just become dressier? Either way, jeans are a classic staple of American fashion. Glamour recently did a section on 7 Cute Denim Outfit Ideas (Courtesy of Some of Our Favorite Bloggers!) featuring New York-based fashion blogger, Hanneli Mustaparta (pictured right,) in a head turning jean shorts and short boots combination. The outfit also featured an Isabel Marant shirt ($645.) In true socialite style, Hanneli proclaimed, “Wearing one designer doesn’t automatically create style. When you can pull off wearing a $4 eBay find with something that costs $600, you look awesome!”
Hanneli Mustaparta brings up two very important points regarding fashion in the world of socialites. Though expensive fashions are often adorable and made even more desirable as a result of their unattainability, just because something is costly doesn’t make it cute. Secondly, everyday people may feel obligated to dress up for certain occasions, but socialites aren’t ordinary people. It’s always easy to spot a true blue blood. They will be the one wearing blue jeans when everyone else is in the finest of couture.
