Socialite Summer Style

While summer is traditionally the time to make a much-needed pilgrimage to the Hamptons or the Jersey Shore, sometimes the most relaxing weekend plans are no plans at all. I’ve grown to love my relaxing unscheduled summer weekends in the city. This past weekend, I went to Roosevelt Island for the first time and fell in love with the wildflowers.

Socialite Summer Style

I’m wearing my casual summer uniform which consists of a Linen-Cotton Original Fit Shirt from Express paired with Dark Wash Denim Shorts. I absolutely love how light and airy this blue button up is for summer. I refuse to go anywhere without my purple Longchamp ‘Small Le Pliage’ Tote. My belt is from C4 Belts. I custom designed it from their incredible selection of colors and patterns. Being me, of course I picked the preppiest design, but you can pick one that best fits your personality. To top it off, I’m wearing my fav Juicy Couture sunglasses that I got back in 2009. I originally bought them because I loved Nicole Richie’s big sunglasses look and they fit my face perfectly.

Wooded Winter Style

winter fashion

Though I don’t like extremely hot or extremely cold weather, I love the changing of seasons. However, even when seasons are in full bloom, the weather can still be very unpredictable. While home for the holidays in Wilmington, Delaware, I decided to do a shoot with some of my favorite winter wear. But, when the day came around, I was pleasantly surprised by an unseasonably warm spring day. Many thanks to my Mom for taking the photos!

I’m wearing one of my favorite winter sweaters that I got forever ago at Forever 21, a pair of Circus by Sam Edelman Rider Tall Riding Boots, Rock & Republic for Kohl’s Berlin Skinny Jeans and a basic black tank from Express.

M. Bottiglieri West Village

A little more than a week ago, I had the honor of doing a fashion shoot in the West Village with the luxury ready-to-wear brand M. Bottiglieri and three of my fab fashion blogger friends. The talented Joey Pasion from Dr. Photo Photography was behind the camera.

M. Bottiglieri is a new luxury line of high end women’s sportswear. Their pieces are perfect for the NYC power woman or anyone looking to invest in high quality staples they can style their wardrobe around. What truly makes this brand unique is that everything is both made and designed right here in NYC. for this shoot, I wore the Jane Crepe Back Satin Dress. I hope to shoot again with the lovely she is redThe Style Boro and FASHinNY.

Stripes and Sunglasses

I’ve recently gotten back into Mad Men. Like millions of Americans reliving the 60s through this hit series, I’m very much looking forward to the season finale on Sunday. Though I’m quite intrigued by the story, I mostly watch for the fashion. Now that the show is exploring life in the late 60s, I’m loving the shorter hemlines and often find myself scouring vintage shops in search of styles fitting that of Sally and Megan Draper.

Not having found a genuine late 60s mini dress, I fished through my closet looking for something similar. When I came across this short striped dress and Jackie O. sunglasses, I decided to enjoy a beautiful day with a luxurious walk along the Hudson River.
