BEAUTYCON!

Beautycon NYC

Yesterday, I joined some of the biggest fashion and beauty influencers and their fabulous fans at BeautyCon NYC. Along with meet and greets with some of beauty’s biggest YouTubers, BeautyCon also had amazing panels on how to make it in beauty and fashion from some of the industry’s most successful bloggers and entrepreneurs. My favorite was “Diva: The Female Version of a Hustler” which included bloggers such as Wendy Nguyen from Wendy’s Lookbook and Amber Venz Box, co-founder and president of rewardStyle.com. Naturally, I learned a lot.

Judging from the pony I’m holding it looks like I’m at Bronie Con rather an BeautyCon.

BeautyCon is coming to NYC!

Beautycon

Great news for beauty mavens in NYC! On Saturday May 24th, BeautyCon, an international summit for the internet’s most influential beauty and fashion icons, has teamed up with ELLE Magazine to make its New York premiere. After taking over Los Angeles and London for the past two years, this fab event packed with celebrity guests, digital influencers and their loyal beauty and fashion-followings is finally coming to the Big Apple. What a better place than New York for hundreds of content creators and celebs to come together to network, talk industry news, discuss the future of online media, and participate in panel discussions.

The mission of BeautyCon is to inspire a new generation of online trendsetters through hands-on experiences and exclusive access to up-and-coming brands and products. On behalf of socialite beauties everywhere, I’d like to personally invite you to join the action. Tickets are available on BeautyCon.com. Hope to see you there!

The Burberry Life

Last week, I attended a party with ELLE Magazine at the Burberry store in SoHo. With all these events I’ve been attending, I’m beginning to believe that sipping champagne amongst designer clothes is a full-time hobby within itself.  During the party, my picture along with shots of other Burberry fans, were prominently displayed on a huge screen in the store as part of an Instagr.am competition for the best picture with your favorite Burberry items.

Here are some of my favorite styles currently at the store this holiday:

Celebrating Mulberry’s Spring 2012 Collection with ELLE Magazine

Tonight I attended the lovely launch of Mulberry‘s Spring 2012 Collection where I met ELLE Magazine‘s Fashion News Director, Anne Slowey who brought her beautiful baby to the event. I also spotted ELLE’s Senior Accessories Editor, Kyle Anderson across the room. It’s always a joy to party around beautiful British designs most of which I could totally see Kate and Pippa wearing.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots!  The pumps and the bag are pretty awesome too against the bookshelf background.

These great prints are very true to the Mulberry brand. Can you spot their signature tree?

More cool classy clothes that I can’t afford.

Love these bags! Very spacious and fun!

It Gets Better Fashion Week Lounge at the Empire Hotel

Just had the best time supporting a good cause at the It Gets Better Project Fashion Week Lounge at the Empire Hotel sponsored by ELLE Magazine, Rue La La, and the Sundance Channel.  I was so honored to be invited to such a wonderful event for an equally wonderful cause.  For those aspiring it really does get better.

After I hit up the many flavors of air at the oxygen bar, Lilibeth did an amazing job on my eyebrows.  I even got my hair styled by Sue from the John Barrett Salon in a fun side braid.  Emmy Award winning makeup artist and all around fun person, KJ Bennett, brought out my blue eyes with his unmatched makeup techniques.  Thanks to KJ I’m all ready to go out tonight. The highlight of my morning/afternoon was signing the Rue La La wall with a special message for the It Gets Better Project. I’m so glad that I could do good this Fashion Week.

Be yourself and keep aspiring because it gets better!

KJ Bennett did an amazing job on my makeup. Plus, he was a lot of fun to work with. I’m all ready for my It Gets Better PSA!
