Candy Crush Crazed!

candy-crush-saga

My latest obsession has nothing to do with couture. Like millions of addicts around the world, I’ve developed quite a sweet tooth for Candy Crush Saga. I love all the pretty candies and the challenge each level brings. If you haven’t played yet, just be aware that this game is addictive enough to make you a permanent resident of the Betty Ford Center. So play wisely. Currently, I’ve been stuck on level 65 for over a month and it’s driving me insane.

In spite of it all, Candy Crush certainly has a way of teaching you patience. Not only do some levels take forever to pass, but once your five lives are up, you must wait a specified amount of time before you can play again or ask your Facebook friends to send you a life. I have tons of friends on Facebook that I haven’t spoken to in years, but they never fail to send me lives on Candy Crush. If you can’t wait, you can always pay for more lives, but I’m not really into doing that. I’d rather wait and use my time in between Candy Crush sessions to do something productive. Since I now have nothing, but candy on my mind, I’ve been spending my Candy Crush downtime searching for the cutest candy-inspired accessories. I hope you enjoy my sweet picks and beat that level you’re stuck on soon!

Watch the Designers Make Clothes Out of Candy Tonight on Project Runway

How sweet it is to get a preview of tonight’s Project Runway episode before it airs! No, I’m not psychic, I just read the press releases.  In Episode 2 tonight at 9/8c on Lifetime, the design crew consisting of The social butterfly (Buffi), The snob (Lantie), The hothead (Elena), The stoic (Ven), The peacekeeper (Sonjia), and The grandma (Andrea) will be given the task of making this week’s designs out of unconventional materials.  After being greeted by Heidi on the runway, the designers will meet Tim Gunn at Dylan’s Candy Bar and be given the challenge of making couture out of candy.

Once the designers have completely ripped apart the candy store, they will return to the workroom and struggle to work with candy.  When the models arrive for fittings, some of the designers have nothing for their model to try on, so the models sit bored and eating candy which is living proof that models do eat.  While some of the designers will turn to fabric once the candy goes sour, others will stay on top of the challenge, but it won’t be without a few key pieces of candy falling on a runway.  Before hitting the runway, someone will burn themselves with a hot glue gun.  See you tonight on the runway socialites!  #MakeItWork
