Summer in Maine

Maine isn’t just a place. It’s a state of being. I’ve vacationed in Maine ever since I was a kid and I would spend all summer there if I could.

My fiance and I went to a beautiful wedding in Wells, Maine and I finally got to go back. I’ve been dreaming about the Maine coast ever since. While we stayed in Wells, we also got to visit York and Ogunquit. Above is a photo of the Cape Neddick Lighthouse in York. It’s known as one of the most beautiful views of the ocean in the world. I’m sure it’s inspired many people (including myself) to look into a summer house in Maine.

At York Beach we visited my aunt’s new condo and I broke out my California Waves Rose and Shine One-Piece Swimsuit for the occasion. I swear that swimsuit was made for me and made for Maine. After spending the day in York, we headed over to Ogunquit to walk the Marginal Way, a paved path along the ocean with breathtaking views. Then we had dinner in Perkins Cove. In true Maine spirit, my fiance ordered the lobster. Then he immediately realized he had no idea how to eat one. Me being a lifelong vegetarian didn’t know either. So it was pretty funny watching him try. Luckily, the people at the restaurant helped him out. I think he’ll stick to lobster rolls from now on.

For the wedding I tried Rent The Runway for the first time and loved it. I rented the Cinq à Sept Burgundy Valle Dress. You can rent it here, but if you want to buy it you can find it on Revolve. Let’s face it we all need options.

Until next time Maine! We’ve always made a great pair.
