If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I’ve been on some major velvet and Bloomingdale’s binges lately. I stocked up on velvet for my recent trip to New Orleans and this southern staple paid off royally during my trip to the Catahoula Hotel in the French Quarter. This small boutique hotel is adorable. So it’s no wonder Vogue named it one of the 9 Most Instagrammable New Hotels Around the World. Even if you’re not staying there, it’s still worth it to stop by for a drink and a quick Instagram session next time you’re in New Orleans.
This velvet number is the Aqua Crushed Velvet Faux Wrap Dress and it’s on sale at Bloomingdale’s for $19.50. It’s super classic and great for those cold winter months. I paired it with my Earthies by Earth Apollo Velvet Block Heel Booties for some serious head-to-toe velvet! I can’t wait to go back to NOLA. It’s such an amazing city filled with culture, voodoo and the best music and drinks on earth.
There’s a place in Soho where unicorns come alive and every day is your birthday! The Flour Shop is my new happy place (aside from my yoga class of course). This bright bakery has me eating cake for the first time in a while. After all, who can resist an explosion cake filled with candy? If you’re ever having a bad day, this is the place to go.
2017 was an interesting year to say the least. While there’s a lot I’d like to leave behind, it was a surprisingly beautiful year too. When I look back on the long weekend I spent in L.A., the day I found my wedding dress, Halloween in Salem and my first official video, I realize that I am truly #blessed in so many ways. Here are a few more of my favorite moments and outfits from the past year.
I knew that this would be the photo of 2017 the moment I snapped it in front of the All Year Round boutique in Soho. Their sign always makes me laugh and this one was priceless. It features the Milly Red Side Flutter Dress. This is one of my favorite Rent the Runway finds.
I’m so looking forward to getting married and embracing even more abundance in 2018! Happy New Year Socialites! Remember that the best is always yet to come…
I always suggest that everyone has at least one casual holiday outfit and one dressy one so you always have something to wear to those festive occasions, even if you’re just picking up a Christmas tree.
