Bright beaded pom pom sandals that lace up to the knees are so going to be the must-have item of the summer. They’re the perfect addition to a beach day look or to your favorite city sundress. Luckily, for all of you sun worshipers and aspiring California girls, there are pom pom sandals in every price range. These are two of my favorites.
After finding this comfortably stylish romper at Old Navy, I think it’s safe to say that rompers are going to be my thing this spring. Not only do they look fab, since they’re one piece, they also make planning out an outfit super easy.
This spring look first starts with my Hell’s Kitchen rooftop. I absolutely love living in Hell’s Kitchen. I’ve been here for around six years now. It’s a great neighborhood just west of Times Square. While it gets its name from its rough past, the name stuck because now it’s full of great restaurants. I can’t wait to spend more time on my rooftop as the weather gets warmer.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, but not exactly hot, it’s time to trade in knee high boots for shorter booties. Luckily, when it comes to shopping for ankle boots, there’s a pair for every budget. Here are my top shortie splurge and steal picks for early spring.
Georgine has been one of my favorite designers for a few seasons now. I absolutely love her style and love it even more now thanks to her stunning Fall 2016 collection.
My favorite part about this collection had to be the diversity of the pieces. It included dark lacy/sheer pieces for night along with beautiful dresses and coat separates for daytime or more casual events. It was basically like seeing my entire dream wardrobe go down the runway. I simply can’t get enough of Georgine’s dramatic dresses, trenches and fur details. It’s kind of an obsession.
I’m so honored to have captured this Fall collection and to have been there to see it go down the runway at New York Fashion Week. I can’t wait to see what the talented Georgine comes out with next!
New York Fashion Week may look glamourous on Instagram (and in many ways it is), but for us bloggers, it can be a hectic week of back to back events and absolutely no sleep. Luckily, there’s a part of Fashion Week that’s exactly the opposite. In the New York Fashion Week lounges, coffee and champagne flow freely and you can relax with your BFFs (Best Fashion Friends). Talented hair and makeup artists are often on hand to help you look picture perfect in your street style photos and if you’re really lucky, you’ll be treated to some sweet swag such as makeup, handbags and jewelry. It’s every girl’s dream come true!
When you’re running around all day, lounge time is a must to recharge yourself and your cell phone. While many bloggers use their Fashion Week lounge time to get out posts in between shows, I like to make the most of the branded experiences and catch up with my blogger friends. If you didn’t have time to do your hair or get a manicure before the shows, a lounge can be a lifesaver. Maybe someday we can make New York Lounge Week a thing?
Here’s what my lounge life has been like so far this New York Fashion Week:
I had an amazing time catching up with my blogger friends at the ShopStyle lounge! I even got this monogrammed GiGi New York purse. It’s the
Stylists from R+Co did an amazing job on my hair at the ShopStyle Lounge and taught me how to do modern curls.
The Maybelline Lounge on the top floor of Milk Studios was the perfect way to end the day. They had an awesome deejay and I got to stock up on my favorite Maybelline products.
I walked on a virtual runway in the E! News and TRESemmé Lounge at Skylight at Moynihan Station.
